Keene High School Scholarship Newsletter

The following scholarships are listed by the month in which the applications are due.  Please note that this newsletter will be updated every month and scholarship opportunities for upcoming months will be added.  Scholarship applications are available in the Main Guidance Office and/or online.  Please see your school counselor for more information.



AXA Achievement Scholarship

  • Must demonstrate ambition and drive; determination to set goals, respect for family, self and community, and the ability to succeed in college
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Awarded to 52 students nationwide, state winner receives a scholarship of $10,000

Cumberland Farms Scholarship

  • Must be enrolling in a two year or four year university/college or vocational/technical program
  • Must reside within a 30 mile radius of Cumberland Farms
  • Must have a 3.0 GPA
  • Based on academic record, leadership qualities, school and community activities
  • Valued at $1,000

Home Advisor 2017 Skilled Labor Shortage Scholarship

  • Award a $5,000 scholarship to three students who can devise a creative solution to America’s skilled labor crisis
  • Email a well developed 1,000 to 2,000 word essay on: What would be your strategy for solving the labor shortage and what would you do to encourage others to attend a trade school instead of a four year program.

NFIB Young Entrepreneur Award Program

  • Values range from $2,000 to $25,000 tuition assistance
  • High school senior who will be attending a university/vocational/technical school
  • Applicants must be currently running their own small business to be considered

Future of Assisted Living Scholarship

  • Must be enrolled in an Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Graduate level program
  • Award valued at $2,000
  • Applicants must include a 250 maximum introductory bio about themselves
  • Must also include a 500-700-word essay to the question: How can your major of study improve the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities in your town?

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

  • Must demonstrate at school, workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity and citizenship
  • Must demonstrate strong academic performance (min 3.0 grade point average)
  • Must be citizen of the United States
  • Must be a current high school senior attending high school in the United States
  • Plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study towards a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States

Red Sox Scholarship

  • Valued at $1,000
  • Must be a legal resident of NH
  • Must be attending a two or four year program at an accredited college, university or trade school
  • Students must demonstrate quality academic performance
  • Dedicated to community service
  • Must demonstrate financial need

Faith, Hope and & Love Foundation

  • Must be attending college in the fall
  • Dedicated to community service
  • Need to write a 250 word essay

Health Care Leaders Scholarship

  • $1,000 scholarship awarded
  • Applicants must be entering or currently pursing an educational program related to nursing or medicine
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be 17 years of age
  • An overall GPA of 3.0 is required
  • Submit an essay

National Multiple Sclerosis Scholarship

  • Applicants must have multiple sclerosis or be the child of someone with multiple sclerosis
  • Must be a high school senior
  • Must plan to enroll in an undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school

Nurse Scholarship

  • Applicants must be enrolled in or admitted to a nursing degree program approved by a state board of nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing
  • Applicants must write an Essay: Why are you passionate about becoming a Nurse and how will you use your Nursing education to improve the Healthcare of others

National Society Daughters of the American Revolution

  • The NSDAR awards multiple scholarships for students studying; Political Science, History, Government, Nursing, Medical

The Gallery Collection

  • Students must design a greeting card for the chance to win a $10,000 scholarship
  • One entry per person; Entry will be made into a greeting card

SAE Engineering Scholarship

  • Several scholarships for students interested in the study of engineering and the related sciences
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Overall GPA of 3.75
  • Scholarships range from $1,500 to $5,000

New Hampshire Water Pollution Control Association Scholarship

  • $1,000 is awarded to a student enrolled in a New Hampshire college pursuing a degree in Water Pollution Control, Environmental Science, or Civil Engineering
  • Must be a resident of New Hampshire
