Animal Science

In our Animal Science program, students will learn a great deal about large animals including cattle, horses, sheep, swine, and goats in a production industry.

If you’re a student who loves feeding, cleaning, and working with both large and small farm animals, then you should enroll in our Animal Science program. As an Animal Science student, your hands-on learning experiences on our working farm at Fall Mountain Regional High School will enable you to develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to successfully enter the animal science and management field.

 

You will learn animal anatomy & physiology, safe handling procedures, animal nutrition & health, safety, & environment, breeding practices.

Your career pathway (with additional education and training): Animal Biotechnologist, Veterinarian, Vet Technician, Stable Manager, Livestock Buyer, Quality Control Inspector.
