Careers in Education

Have you thought about becoming a teacher? Counselor? Speech Therapist? Develop the skills to prepare for a career working with children and preparing for post-secondary education by taking part in our Careers in Education Program.
 
You will learn child & adolescent development theory, classroom management strategies, lesson plans, instructional methods & evaluation, diverse learning practices & techniques, professional, legal, & ethical standards of behavior.
 
You can earn Work-Based-Learning experience, college credits, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) certification, and an Educators Rising membership.
 
Your career pathways (with additional education and training) include Early Childhood Educator, Pre-K-12 Classroom Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Child Psychologist, Speech and Language Pathologist, School Counselor.
