Dear Families and Staff,
The NH Department of Health and Human Services has updated their guidance this week as it relates to isolation and quarantining with the release of the Health Alert Network Update 53.
Effective Monday, January 10, 2022, all schools in SAU 29 will be following this guidance as linked above.
The most significant changes are:
- Going from 10 days to 5 days for isolation or quarantine (provided fever-free with no fever reducing medication for 24 hours AND other symptoms are improving).
- Getting tested on day 5 after being exposed to someone with COVID-19.
- Being “Up to date” on COVID-19 vaccination as opposed to “fully vaccinated.” A person is “up to date” on COVID-19 vaccination when they have completed a primary COVID-19 vaccine series (the single-dose J&J Janssen vaccine, or a 2-dose series of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccine) AND any booster shots which they are eligible for and recommended to receive.
If you have any questions regarding this information, please reach out to your school for clarification.
Have a great weekend!
