Horticulture
This program prepares students to produce and grow greenhouse and nursery plants, to maintain the landscape and grounds areas, as well as design and create floral arrangements. This program is designed to introduce students to horticultural (plant) sciences with the emphasis of hands-on skills while teaching the students career opportunities in Horticultural careers.

Greenhouse Management
This course is designed to develop an understanding of greenhouse production techniques and practices. Topics could include the principles of greenhouse structures, plant health and growth, growing media, greenhouse crop selection and propagation, and management techniques.
Floriculture/Floral Design
This course helps students develop skills in the design and arrangement of flowers, foliage, etc, for year round events. Students learn the history of floral design, how to identify flowers and plants and how to use them artistically as works of a living art form. Also covered are the use of plants and flowers as positive environmental elements. This technical course is designed to examine floral design in relation to contemporary designs, business practices, and specialty items such as: weddings, creativity, and careers in the floral industry.
Landscape Design
This course is designed to develop an understanding of landscape design and management techniques and practices; including the worksite, seasonal changes, plant requirements, spacing, wildlife, and clients wishes. This course helps students prepare for careers in horticultural systems, students must attain academic skills and knowledge, acquire technical knowledge and skills related to horticultural systems and the workplace, and develop knowledge and skills regarding career opportunities, entry requirements, and industry expectations.
FFA Club
All students in any of the Horticulture courses are welcome to join FFA. FFA is an intracurricular opportunity for students to utilize what they are learning and doing in class in and outside the class. Students will have the opportunity for field trips, participating in contests to win awards, scholarships, and build agriculture & leadership skills.
