Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps – JROTC
Do you enjoy organizing, planning, and leading group activities? Do you like participating as a volunteer in community service events? Do you enjoy challenging yourself, both physically and mentally, as part of a team? If so, consider joining the JROTC program. As a JROTC student, your team-focused, activity-based, learning experiences will enable you to develop and demonstrate the fundamental leadership knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to succeed in school, in the community, and in life. JROTC is a high school program, sponsored by the US Army, which is designed for all students, whether or not they intend to pursue a military career. Its mission is to motivate young people to become better citizens and responsible members of a team and their community.
You will learn communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. You will participate in community service initiatives and have the opportunity to become a program leader. Your career pathways (with additional education and training) include Military Service, Community Development, Government Service, and Business Management.
