Grover first joined SAU 29 in 2001 as a fourth grade teacher at Symonds Elementary School (Keene, NH). She served as a principal intern in the Keene School District during the 2018-2019 school year at Wheelock, Fuller, and Symonds Elementary Schools, as well as at Keene Middle School. Prior to joining SAU 29 Grover taught second and fourth grades in Louisiana. Grover completed her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Keene State College. Mrs. Grover is currently serving as the principal/instructional coach for the John D. Perkins Academy in Marlow, NH.
Following a thorough vetting of applicants by a selection committee comprised of staff and school board members, Mrs. Grover was one of two finalists brought forward to participate in a community forum where she received overwhelmingly favorable feedback from the community. “Mrs. Grover is a compassionate educator who balances strong leadership skills with a focus on best teaching practices to create an engaging learning environment for students and staff alike,” said Assistant Superintendent Ben White. “Mrs. Grover has been a part of the fabric of Symonds for a long time and will no doubt be welcomed back with open arms by students and staff alike.”
In this position, Mrs. Grover will be responsible for directing the overall site operations, services, and staff at the school. Grover will succeed current Principal Richard Cate who has been in the position since 1979. Symonds Elementary School has a current enrollment of 318 students in grades K through 5.
Upon learning of her selection, Mrs. Grover stated, “I am grateful and honored to be able to serve the students, families, and staff of Symonds Elementary School as its new principal. I look forward to building upon its foundation of excellence and creating a thriving community for our students, families, and staff.”
